Admissions

The admission for those who wish to participate in the postgraduate studies within HCMUT are considered based on the results from the entry examinations biannually organized. More specifically, one examination is conducted in April and one in October every year.

To the admission for the Master’s level, the entry examinations are conducted, including three subjects which are Advanced mathematics, Discipline-based subject and Foreign language. Moreover, candidates with their outstanding undergraduate academic records are exceptionally passed based on the interviews with academic staff of HCMUT instead of taking the entry examinations.

To the admission for the Doctoral programs, the candidates have to take part in the interviews with experts on the fields they wish to study. In the interviews, the candidates must demonstrate their abilities in doing research and their background knowledge in appropriate fields. Besides, the candidates must meet the requirements of foreign languages.

In order to be accepted to study for international students, the admission criteria are set based on the interview with relevant academic staff.

INTRODUCTION TO POSTGRADUATE STUDIES IN HCMUT

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), a member of Vietnam National University - HCMC, is one of the leading universities of Vietnam in engineering and management, with around 24.000 undergraduate and 4.000 postgraduate students, playing a significant role in providing well-educated labor force for Vietnam and Indochina. The university includes 11 faculties and 2 campuses, one is located in the inner of Ho Chi Minh City and another in Binh Duong Province.

Beside undergraduate education, postgraduate education has been one of the key strategies of HCMUT, which focuses on training scientific experts, for the purpose of improving long-term technological developments in Vietnam. The postgraduate education of HCMUT has been continuously innovated with respect to research-based contents, curricula, and education environment as well as teaching methods.

Công nghiệp 4.0 là xu hướng hiện thời trong việc tự động hóa và trao đổi dữ liệu trong công nghệ sản xuất. chúng ta sẽ đến với sự kết hợp giữa thế giới thực, thế giới ảo và thế giới sinh vật. Những công nghệ mới này sẽ gây ảnh hưởng to lớn đến mọi luật lệ, mọi nền kinh tế, mọi ngành công nghiệp, đồng thời cũng thách thức ý niệm của chúng ta về vai trò thực sự của con người.

Cách mạng công nghiệp lần 4 mang đến cơ hội, và cũng đầy thách thức với nhân loại.

Đến với Hội thảo “Cách mạng công nghiệp 4.0 – Cơ hội và thách thức với sự phát triển khoa học công nghệ” do Chi hội nữ trí thức Trường Đại học Bách Khoa tổ chức, PGS. TS Lê Hoài Quốc, Trưởng Ban Quản lý Khu công nghệ cao Tp. HCM sẽ dự báo những tác động của cách mạng công nghiệp 4.0 đến kinh tế xã hội của Việt Nam.

Ông Trần Quốc Hiệu, Giám đốc Kỹ thuật Công ty TNHH Giải pháp Kỹ thuật  Indefol sẽ trình bày về "lợi thế thị trường khi Start-Up khai triển sản phẩm từ nghiên cứu".

Với kinh nghiệm chủ trì 09 đề tài NCKH các cấp và hơn 100 công bố khoa học trong nước và quốc tế, GS. TS Võ Văn Hoàng, đến từ Phòng thí nghiệm Vật lý tính toán,  Khoa KHUD sẽ chia sẻ kinh nghiệm thu hút sinh viên, học viên tham gia NCKH.

PGS. TS Nguyễn Tấn Tiến, đại diện cho Bộ môn Cơ điện tử Khoa Cơ khí là chủ nhiệm một trong những nhóm nghiên cứu mạnh của Đại học Bách Khoa, đã chủ trì hơn 20 đề tài NCKH các cấp, sở hữu hơn 140 công bố khoa học trong nước và quốc tế sẽ chia sẻ với Hội thảo kinh nghiệm xây dựng nhóm NCKH sinh viên.
